You are warmly invited to our monthly, cathedral-style service of Choral Evensong on Saturday 25th July at 4.30pm in St Peter’s Church, Dorchester. The music includes Rheinberger’s ‘Abendlied’, Rose’s ‘Preces & Responses’, Howell’s ‘Gloucester Service’ and Rutter’s anthem for choir, organ and clarinet ‘The Lord is my light and my salvation’. In addition to championing the Anglican choral tradition within the wonderful surroundings and acoustics of our 15th century church, Music at St Peter’s offers a fantastic range of concerts and recitals, mostly with a liturgical theme. We have been delighted to host evenings of spectacular choral singing by the Gentlemen of St John’s College, Cambridge and The Gesualdo Six, as well as a fabulous organ recital by John Challenger, Assistant Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral.
