You are warmly invited to our monthly, cathedral-style service of Choral Evensong on Saturday 30th may at 4.30pm in St Peter’s Church, Dorchester. The music includes Gibbons’s ‘Come, Holy Ghost’, the ‘Preces & Responses’ by Martin Neary, Blair’s ‘Evening Service in B minor’ and Elgar’s ‘The spirit of the Lord’. In addition to championing the Anglican choral tradition within the wonderful surroundings and acoustics of our 15th century church, Music at St Peter’s offers a fantastic range of concerts and recitals, mostly with a liturgical theme. We have been delighted to host evenings of spectacular choral singing by the Gentlemen of St John’s College, Cambridge and The Gesualdo Six, as well as a fabulous organ recital by John Challenger, Assistant Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral.
