You are warmly invited to our monthly, cathedral-style service of Choral Evensong on Saturday 12th September at 4.30pm in St Peter’s Church, Dorchester. The music includes Dubra’s ‘Ave Maria I’, Richard Seal’s ‘Preces & Responses’, Stanford’s ‘Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in C’ and Bainton’s ‘And I saw a new heaven’. In addition to championing the Anglican choral tradition within the wonderful surroundings and acoustics of our 15th century church, Music at St Peter’s offers a fantastic range of concerts and recitals, mostly with a liturgical theme. We have been delighted to host evenings of spectacular choral singing by the Gentlemen of St John’s College, Cambridge and The Gesualdo Six, as well as a fabulous organ recital by John Challenger, Assistant Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral.
