Dorchester welcomes everyone!

Shopping in our town centre is made easy by our traffic free main high street that is broad and fairly level. While exploring Dorchester, why not follow on of our town trails, many are level or have gently sloping routes. You could visit Poundbury an urban extension of Dorchester designed and built by the Duchy of Cornwall, it has been created around people rather than cars. This helps to create calmer roads, with a series of well connected streets and squares. On Trinity Street there are toilets with disabled access and baby changing facilities. Both Dorset Museum and 1610 Sports Centre have changing places toilets that are free for anyone to use.

If you have accessibility requirements then you can filter locations on our website to find what meets your needs.
