Can you help us?
“Have only those things in your house which you know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” (William Morris). Or as a wise man once said – the best way to organise your stuff is to get rid of it!
Can you help us by donating items you no longer need? Dorchester Arts’ next major fundraising sale, Useful or Beautiful, will take place in November and we are asking all our supporters to donate beautiful things that they no longer want, or useful things they no longer need, in the following categories:
Decorative platters/serving dishes/utensils
Artworks and pictures
Books – particularly ‘coffee table’ books (design, photographic, cookery)
Furniture – small and easily carried
Cushions and throws
Photo frames/candles/objets d’art
We are accepting donations of the above every weekday from 1 November 2022. So, if you can help us, please bring them to the new Stage Door entrance of the Corn Exchange, where our offices are now located, during office hours, Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm. If you have any queries about donations or need advice on transport please contact Penny Treadwell Anderson on email@example.com, or call the office on 01305 266926 Please note that we are unable to accept electrical items, large furniture, clothes, or jewellery.
And don’t forget – on 20 November 2022 come to find NEW treasures, at all prices, both preloved and new to take home! It will be an afternoon of tea, music, and fascinating browsing for bargains as you start to think about Christmas gifts or spot a treasure to make your home even more beautiful!
