Tutankhamun’s Treasure Hunt
Visit the Tutankhamun Exhibition over the autumn half term and join in the King Tut’s Treasure Hunt. Find Tutankhamun’s amazing treasure hidden throughout the tomb and exhibition.
Children become young archaeological detectives as they explore the exhibition to discover the secrets of what has been described as the “world’s greatest discovery of ancient treasure”.
It was over 90 years ago that Howard Carter made the world famous discovery of the intact tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings. Tutankhamun has become the face of Ancient Egypt and the most well known of all the pharaohs.
From Saturday 24th October to Saturday 31st children visiting the internationally renowned Tutankhamun Exhibition can go on their own Treasure Hunt. Successful Tut detectives will be awarded a certificate.
The Tutankhamun Exhibition is open everyday from 10pm to 4pm.
Also included in the Exhibition in the Amarna Gallery is ‘Mummies’, an amazing exhibition focusing on the Ancient Egyptian fascination with mummification. It can be spooky especially at Halloween!
The Tutankhamun Exhibition is situated in the centre of Dorchester and is close to all the town centre car parks. It is open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm. For further details phone 01305 269741 or log on to www.tutankhamun-exhibition.co.uk
