Thomas Hardy’s Gardens: A study of Hardy’s Cottage and Max Gate
Thomas Hardy’s Gardens – a study of Hardy’s Cottage and Max Gate is a new talk to be given by Phil Broomfield at the next monthly meeting of Dorchester and District Gardening Club. Phil Broomfield is The Garden History Detective who provides garden talks and lecture about a variety of historic garden locations and wider garden topics. This talk will cover the garden history at both sites, Hardy’s birthplace at Higher Bockhampton and Max Gate in Dorchester.
Come along to the United Church Hall, 49/51 Charles Street, Dorchester DT1 1EE, doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Bring and buy stall and draw with tea/coffee and biscuits available. All welcome.
