From the roots of flamenco, a powerful dance show emerges—shaped by the vibrant rhythms of alegrías, tangos, bulerías, and the emotional depth of soleá and farruca. It’s a journey through memory and movement, blending tradition with a bold, contemporary voice.
Rebeca Ortega, a rising flamenco artist, brings her signature intensity and elegance to the Corn Exchange this September. Raíces earned her third finalist at the 2022 Madroño Young Dance Creators Awards and was selected for touring by the Network of Theatres of the Community of Madrid.
Rebeca’s career is gaining international momentum, with performances at major venues including Teatros del Canal (Madrid), Watford Palace Theatre (London), Montreux Dance Festival (Switzerland), and national theatres in Armenia and Trinidad and Tobago. Supported by the Spanish Embassy, she has represented flamenco across the globe—from China to Ethiopia.
