Make your own Upcycled Tote Bag with Nadine Shaban
This event is aimed at young people from ages 13 to 25.
Learn how to create your own upcycled tote bag using a variety of found and recycled materials. We will be using sewing machines and hand stitching to make the bags and decorate them. It will be a space to play and experiment with colour, shape and textures.
If there is fabric or any trinkets you’d like to use for your bag do bring it along – but Nadine will provide plenty of material and bits to decorate the bags so this is not essential.
No experience needed.
If you book and are no longer able to attend the workshop, please cancel your ticket through Eventbrite. Places are limited and we’d like as many people to be able to attend as possible!
This workshop is being organised by Dorchester Youth Council as part of Fashion Revolution Week 2025. The workshop is being led by Nadine Shaban, a fine art graduate with a wealth of different making skills. Nadine’s eye for responsible fashion paired with her incredible knowledge of colour and form will help to elevate your tote bag into something truly unique.
