Icarus: Drawing Under The Sun
As part of Luke Jerram’s monumental installation Helios, Alive and Drawing presents a special evening drawing event inspired by the myth of Icarus — the human urge to fly, to risk, to reach too close to the sun.
Beneath the glowing seven-metre Sun, this is life drawing reimagined. Expect an immersive, carefully staged set-up using handmade wings, light and music to create a striking, narrative-led subject to draw from. This is not a conventional life class, but a shared act of looking, responding and making in an unusual environment.
Led by Alex Cree (www.alexcree.co.uk) with atmospheric staging by theatre-maker Penny Levick, this is life drawing with a sense of adventure. No experience needed, just curiosity.
