Exhibition: Stories of Renewal
We are delighted to be hosting Stories of Renewal, an inspiring exhibition by Second Chances Art Group (Bournemouth). This exhibition follows the journeys of women overcoming past trauma within the Criminal Justice system. Featuring vibrant artworks and storytelling, it offers a unique insight into the experiences of women overcoming challenges and creating new chapters in their lives.
Second Chances is a therapeutic art group within the Footprints Project*. They run arts and crafts sessions for women who have been in contact with the Criminal Justice system and give them the time and space to be creative, build community and work through their past.
You can also buy items created by the Footprints Project in our gift shop.
From: Thursday 24th September – Tuesday 29th September, 11am-3pm (closed Sunday 27th)
* The Footprints Project encourages self-worth, nurtures hope and brings a sense of belonging to people in Hampshire and Dorset who have been affected by the Criminal Justice system, building stronger, safer communities. People in this system often face complex challenges; many have no family support, histories of care or abuse, low education, homelessness, or mental or physical health issues. By focusing on individualised support, they aim to help these vulnerable individuals become stable, productive members of society.
