Using traditional methods, make a frame tablet filled with smooth clay (instead of wax), just like the ones used by ancient Romans for writing. Then, grab a stylus and carve your own message in Latin, just as students, merchants, and even gladiators once did.

As you work the clay, discover popular Roman words, phrases, and numerals, learning how the Romans communicated in their daily lives. Will you inscribe a secret message, practice a Roman greeting, or even try your hand at writing numbers the ancient way?
