Dorset Sunflower Trail 2026
Dorset Sunflower Trail will be opening in August, from 11am–4pm daily (opening day not yet confirmed).
Two trails, endless memories. We have two sunflower trails to suit everyone:
The shorter trail (around 10 minutes) is perfect for prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs (weather permitting), making it one of the most accessible family activities in Dorset.
The longer trail takes about 30 minutes and is ideal if you want to really stretch your legs and see as many sunflowers as possible!
You’re welcome to do either or both trails and to stay as long as you like.
With over 300,000 sunflower seeds sown in 2026, this year’s display promises a dazzling surprise at every turn. With a whopping 900,000 sunflower seeds in 2026 – three times more than last year – we’re feeling incredibly optimistic that this year’s display will be our most spectacular yet.
Booking isn’t essential, but we recommend it to guarantee your spot during busy times!
Sundowner sessions take place every Thursday evening (weather dependent). Booking opens nearer the time and will be announced on social media.
Free parking is available on site – enter ‘Dorset Sunflower Trail’ into your sat nav.
Please note that dogs are not permitted, as we intend to harvest the sunflowers to make sunflower oil.
A large proportion of all proceeds go directly to the Dorset County Hospital Emergency and Critical Care Unit, a cause close to our hearts.
There are plenty of photo spots along the way, so don’t forget your camera and to share your adventure on social media. We’d love to see your posts too so please tag us in!
