Chatting Shit (The Bank Of Dreams And Nightmares)
‘Chatting Shit’ explores the complex relationships between the teen members of a band as they form, rehearse, fall out, rehearse again and then head for The Battle of the Bands. An update and a riff on Fleetwood Mac’s epic album ‘Rumours’, the band – Beef – come to learn that maybe success comes at too high a price.
The Bank of Dreams & Nightmares is a Bridport-based charity which provides children and young people with creative writing opportunities. Their core belief is that the act of creative writing (indeed, creativity in general) is vitally important to a child’s growth. This brand-new play for 6 voices was written by their weekly writing group of local, young people from the age of 14 upwards: The Writers’ Account. An extract was performed at ‘The Script’s The Thing’ festival earlier in the year, but tonight is the first time the piece will be heard in full.
This event is Pay What You Can, please book your seat through the booking system and on the night you will be able to donate what you like either before or after the performance. All profits go to support the work of The Bank Of Dreams And Nightmares.
