Carry On Cleo
Dorchester Arts presents Caesar, Cleo, Antony, Hengist, Horsa, Senna and of course the asp in the funniest film since 54BC! After being trounced in Europe, Caesar dispatches Antony to forge an alliance with Ptolemy, who is squabbling with Cleopatra for the Egyptian throne. But the plan goes awry as Antony is captivated by Cleopatra’s asp, and together they plot Caesar’s downfall.
Sixty years since it premiered, Carry On Cleo is the tenth in the series of the quintessentially British Carry On films, directed by Gerald Thomas. Feel free to wear a toga, tunic (or go full Eqyptian Queen) – there will be a prizes for the best dressed!
