Bach: Mass in B Minor

This performance of J S Bach’s Mass in B Minor will be the farewell concert conducted by Colin Howard as Director of Music of Dorchester Choral Society. He has led the choir for ten fruitful years during which time he has conducted the Bach St Matthew Passion and St John Passion as well as the Christmas Oratorio. In choosing this programme, he is completing the quartet of Bach’s monumental and magnificent large-scale choral works.

The choir will be accompanied by the Salisbury Baroque orchestra and will feature professional soloists Georgie Malcolm (Soprano), Abigail Hooper (Soprano), Guy James (Alto), Simon Irwin (Tenor) and Edward Caswell (Bass).

Online ticket sales are now open but will close 24 hours before the concert. Drinks and programmes can also be ordered online in advance. Any remaining tickets, as well as programmes and drinks can be purchased on the night using cash or card.
