Art in the Squares Poundbury

We invite all artists to come and join our summer en plein air painting event in the Squares of Poundbury. We plan a lighthearted day of painting and sketching in different parts of Poundbury – joining like minded people in a day of shared creativity in the great outdoors. Everything from distant views to interesting architecture is available to paint.

If you are a budding enthusiast, experienced professional or under 16 you will be welcome. Under 16s should register on the day in the Jubilee Hall between 10am and noon.  Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. All Under16 and Under 12 can register for free.

There will be eight locations to choose from each providing a different aspect in which to be inspired. Architecture, formal squares, nature, distant views, people, even scaffolding!

Queen Mother Square, Royal Pavilion Green, The Duchy Farmhouse, Coade Square, Hayward Square, Centenary Field, Pummery Square and Crown Square.
