A Celebration of English Anthems

Dorchester Choral Society will be performing a lovely programme of anthems by English composers spanning five centuries: Byrd, Tallis, Stanford, Balfour Gardiner, Wood, Vaughan Williams, Ireland and Howells. The choir will be conducted by Duncan Emerson and accompanied on the organ by Heather Reed. This free, unticketed and informal concert takes place in the beautiful and atmospheric St Mary’s Church in Cerne Abbas. There will be refreshments on sale and we will take up a bucket collection in aid of Weldmare Hospicecare. Join us to enjoy this feast of music for a Summer’s evening.
