The Casterbridge Room at the Kings Arms will once again be filled with “the babble of voices, the jingle of glasses, and the drawing of corks” on Friday 7th October 2022 from 7.30 pm to 10pm.
Alistair Chisholm, Dorchester’s Town Crier will give a light-hearted potted history of Dorchester and interview Derek Pride, who was born a long time ago in Lower Bockhampton and has lived all his life in the town. Derek will share his memories of growing up in the countryside and refer to the many changes he’s seen in the town during his own lifetime.
The second half of the evening will include a performance by the New Hardy Players to be followed by Tim Laycock and Alastair Simpson sharing some fine Dorset music.
Tickets will cost £15 and profits will be divided equally between Julia’s House and the Dorchester Poverty Action group.
