Dorset On Rail (Conference Day)
On Saturday 26 July, we will be hosting a conference to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the first railway line in the UK.
We have four speakers with fascinating talks on the history of railways in Dorset and the south.
Our speakers and topics for the day are:

This event is FREE, but you do need to book your place in advance to guarantee your seats. If you would like to make a donation to support us and help us hold similar events in the future, please donate to Dorset Archives Trust https://www.dorsetarchivestrust.org/
There will be archive film footage available to view over the lunch period – please make your own arrangements for lunch.
There will also be a free exhibition showcasing some of the original railway plans, photographs and other archival material relating to the railways of Dorset available throughout the day which all are welcome to drop-in to view at any time without needing to book.
