We are a charity that is run wholly by volunteers, supporting unpaid carers and their families by providing the following services:
One-to-one support
Advocacy
Form completion assistance
Training Courses
Carers ID, wellbeing and discount card
Drop-in service
FREE art and craft activities
FREE drinks and biscuits
Wellbeing sessions
Events

Unpaid carers and their families can drop-in any time for a drink and biscuit, have a chat, read a book or just relax. Our friendly team will be on hand to chat to you about whatever concerns you may have and see how they can help you.

Art and Craft sessions need to be booked in advance ideally, to ensure that there is enough space for everyone when they turn up to the sessions.

We have our own unpaid carers card which for a cost of £9.99 for 2 years gives you access to discounts both locally and nationally, access to an online/app wellbeing hub where you can find videos to help you do yoga or listen to tracks to help you relax or sleep. There is also access to carers circle which gives you the option to co-ordinate care for the person you care for, this is ideal if, for instance you are caring for a parent alongside other siblings. You also get 20% discount off of all items we sell or activities we hold.

Our training

We provide several types of training, mostly regulated by ofqual and certified by First Aid Awards. Our certified training is taught in the following subjects:

Mental Health

FAA Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 (RQF)
FAA First Aid for Mental Health Level 2 (RQF)
FAA Supervising First Aid for Mental Health Level 3 (RQF)

Safeguarding

FAA Level 1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding (RQF)
FAA Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF)
