A market has been held around Cornhill since Anglo Saxon times. Dorchester became the County Town in 1305 and in 1629 was granted a Market Charter by Charles I. The Charter is managed by a Joint Markets Panel which is made up of Councillors from Dorset Council and the Town Council.
Nowadays Cornhill is a vibrant local market, an ideal destination for stall holders new and old to showcase their talents and products. With a strong sense of community and affordable pitch fees it offers an ideal platform for businesses to grow and develop.
Various pitch sizes are available with special pricing packages available to suit different budgets. The Market operates from 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
