Whether you are looking for romantic getaway or a family holiday, our farm is perfectly located to explore the Dorset countryside and the Jurassic coastline.
With Dorchester County Town just 2 miles way and Weymouth 7 miles over the Ridgeway, you can pretty much access all parts of Dorset in a jiffy.
Dewflock is working family farm and is predominately livestock with a small amount of arable. As such, we only open our farm for camping for just 28 days a year, usually in August.
The 150 acres of Dorset Downland supports a flock of pure breed Poll Dorset breeding ewes, a herd of Pedigree Hereford cattle and a small drift of rare breed pigs as well as the usual collection of farmyard animals – chickens, dogs, cats and ponies.
Dewflock Farm is ideally placed to offer families a chance to explore the Dorset countryside and the Jurassic Coast whilst having a base that offers a safe and interesting environment.
With cattle and sheep in neighbouring fields and the farm orphan lambs on the loose, Dewflock Farm is very much about offering a bit of luxury whilst enjoying the outdoor lifestyle.
We encourage little people to run around, play games and be children! The paddock is completely enclosed with post and rail fencing and embankment so although we ask that parents supervise at all times, you should be able to relax and enjoy adult time too. Entry in and out of the field is through a five bar gate, adjacent to the homestead.
All guests have access to a field kitchen which is equipped with fridge, freezer, washing up facilities, toaster, kettle and electricity sockets. Each bell tent comes with its own fire pit for BBQ and hay bales for al fresco dining.
There is also a converted pig barn which is equipped with Wi-Fi access, TV and jukebox! There is plenty of seating so a great space for family time either watching TV, iPad fun or doing a jigsaw.
The Pig Shed Café is open every day between 7.30am and 10am (9am on changeover days) and offers fresh Barista coffee and breakfast rolls to purchase to enjoy either in the comfort of the barn or to take back to the tents and enjoy in bed!
Pizza nights are on Wednesday and Sunday evenings from 5pm and are made fresh to order.
Our smaller guests can enjoy some FREE Mini Landies driving on the farm, a little treat from us to start the day off with a smile 😉
