Explore Dorchester with Dora

Welcome to Dorchester! I’m Dora the Dorchester Dormouse and I am going to show you around the town.

Dorchester is the town with Three names. The Romans called it Durnovaria, we call it Dorchester and it’s known to people around the world as Casterbridge, which is what the writer Thomas Hardy called it.

I also appear in a fun children’s guide to Dorchester which available to buy at all of the major attractions in town. It costs £2.50 and is called “Let’s Explore…. Dorchester”. It has lots of games, puzzles, facts and quizzes in it.
