Eat & Drink your way around Dorchester!
Calling all food lovers! Looking for a delicious day out in Dorchester? We’ve got you covered…

Start you day with a trip to the farmers market
Is there anything better than wandering around a market full of the most delicious food around? As a famous market town, Dorchester is the perfect place to spend your morning doing just that.
The Dorchester Farmers Market is on every Wednesday of the year from 8am to 1pm. The market can be found opposite Brewery Square, only a short walk from the town centre. The Market has a selection of delicious food stalls including fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, quality meats, cheese, and hot food.
Poundbury Independent Market is on Sunday 14th May 10am-4pm this year. Hosting the most amazing Dorset makers, bakers, crafters, and artists with 70+ stalls across Poundbury! Their goal is to ‘champion local, small, and independent’ – where better to gather supplies for a Sunday breakfast.
Grab lunch in Dorchester Town Centre
The Town Centre has everything you need for a scrumptious lunch. Whether you’re a sweet of savoury lover, we’ve got it all!
Packed with coffee shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, you’ll find everything from sandwiches to pancakes to pub classics. There’s something for everyone including some great vegan cafes.
Too early for lunch? Why not treat yourself to brunch in your day of tasty food!

Coffee & Cake
Enjoy the exquisite architecture of King Charles III’s Poundbury while you stop for a sweet treat. The little town is the perfect place to go for a spot of afternoon tea, coffee, and a snack.
Poundbury has a great selection of coffee shops, cafes, and bakeries including Honey Bee Café, Finca, and Bonjour Café. Some even have a twist – like the South African run Fables & Food, while Peppina brings a taste of Sicily to Dorchester. The Great Field is home to Pavilion in the Park, a sustainable café and community space!
Dinner with an atmosphere
You’ll find yourself spoilt for choice if you head to Brewery Square for dinner, with the most concentrated selection of restaurants in Dorchester!
The Square hosts a great variety of your favourite restaurants and they’ll satisfy everybody’s tastes. Fancy Italian? Head to Luciano’s, Zizzi, or Pizza Express. If burgers are more your thing, Hubbox, Nando’s, and Vivo Lounge have got you covered. Pair a delicious pub classic (or Sunday roast!) with a delicious craft beer at Brewhouse & Kitchen. Wagamama is perfect for Asian-inspired goodness. If you’re feeling French, try fine dining at Cote Brasserie.
On the other side of town, High East street hosts Myra’s Kaiseki, La Caverna, and The King’s Arms – all offering delicious, varied dining experiences.

Cheers!
