Friday 8th – Sunday 17th March 2024
We’re back this year with an exciting programme of events over 10 days aimed to inspire the budding scientist in you!
The Dorchester Science Festival is programmed as part of the national British Science Week to celebrate science, technology, engineering and maths. Activities will be hosted by a range of partner organisations across the town and include something for all the family!
Head to the Dorchester Science Festival Facebook Page for more information.
Following the huge success of last year, Family Science Day returns to Dorset Museum on the 17th March 2024 from 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm. We’ve got over 20 stalls with a great range of hands-on activities and investigations hosted by local scientists. The day is sure to bring out the Marie Curie or the Albert Einstein in you with fun for all the family!
Find out how physics plays a part in everyday life, discover the invisible world of microbes, explore the biodiversity of the natural world, discover how magnets and gravity work, test your knowledge of water systems, fossils and seaweed and even handle a 205 million year old meteorite!
